Should I use a Diamond or CBN grinding wheel?
Diamond is the normal starting point for carbide, PCD/PCBN, ceramics, glass and other non-ferrous hard materials. CBN is normally reviewed for hardened steel, HSS, bearing steel, tool steel and other ferrous materials. Final selection also depends on the machine, grinding method, bond, grit and finish target.
Can Apex quote without a complete wheel specification?
Yes. A current wheel label, photo, drawing, machine model, workpiece material or description of the grinding problem can start the review. Missing dimensions and process details are confirmed before a final quotation or production drawing.
What should I send for a replacement wheel?
Send the current wheel drawing or label, clear photos, OD × thickness × bore, wheel shape, bond and grit if known, machine model, workpiece material, quantity and the result you want to improve.
